Party in the Patch

An event every day that begins at 10:30 am, repeating until October 17, 2020

Celebrate fall at Capitol Market in a safe and fun way with Party in the Patch October 16th, from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM & October 17th from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM and generously sponsored by West Virginia American Water!

This year’s event will look a little different with a paint-your-own pumpkin pack free for kids to pick up and take home! Each Paint-Your-Own Pumpkin Pack will include one small pumpkin, 2 assorted tempera paint colors, paintbrush, and a child’s size protective apron. Sign up for a time slot to pick-up your pack on either Friday or Saturday – additional pick-up times for Party in the Patch weekend will become availabe on Octover 1st at 9 am, October 2nd at noon, and October 3rd at 6 pm.

This autumnal weekend will also feature pop-up vendors and farmers offering fall sweets, eats, wares, and crafts.

Capitol Market is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is thrilled to partner with Festivall Fall to offer Party in the Patch to our community!

**Social distancing measures will be strictly enforced, sanitation stations provided, and  we ask you to please protect yourself and others by wearing a mask when you collect your Party in the Patch paint-your-own pumpkin pack.

Market Mixer Fundraiser

Try to imagine Charleston without Capitol Market. No locally grown flowers in the spring, produce in the summer, pumpkins in the fall, or fresh cut pine trees in the winter. No bustling year-round social hub offering many unique dining options for lunch, hand crafted chocolates, fresh cut meat and seafood, an Italian restaurant and many other items made right here in West Virginia.

The reason Capitol Market is here today is because of people like you. Your patronage and generosity over the last 20 years has made us a place everyone in the Kanawha Valley is proud of. But what most people don’t realize is as a non-profit , the Market also relies on donations from the community to thrive we are also working on being able to trade tax free. Instead of asking year-round, we cover most of our needs through one annual event: the Capitol Market Mixer.

Green Chili Cook Off

Coming in March 2020!

Green Chili Cook Off has been an annual event at Capitol Market for many years! A portion of our proceeds go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. This event is a sanctioned cook-off with the International Chili Society. Please visit the official Chili Cookoff website to register and learn how to become an ICS member.

You can also participate in our team challenge this year!  Bring your team of office crew, friends, neighbors, book club, anything goes. Make a statement by decorating your table with your team theme! If you have a team interested in participating, please contact nichole@capitolmarket.net
