Bogey’s BBQ Tri-Tip Sliders


Ingredients:

  • 1-2 lbs tri-tip, trimmed of fat
  • Brioche slider buns
  • Provolone, American, Swiss or homemade cheese sauce
  • Au Jus: 2 cups beef broth, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 clove garlic, minced, 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Tri-Tip: Trim off all the fat from your tri-tip. Grill or smoke the meat until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Let it rest, then slice against the grain for tenderness. Johnnies Fresh Meat Market has the best tri-tip.
  2. Make the Au Jus: Prepare a rich au jus to complement the meat. Warm the sliced tri-tip in the au jus for extra flavor if the slices are thin.
  3. Toast the Buns: Lightly toast your brioche buns for added texture.
  4. Assemble the Sliders: Place the tri-tip on the bun, drizzle with some au jus, and add your preferred cheese—whether it’s provolone, American, Swiss, or a homemade cheese sauce.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
