Chef Paul’s Hot Beef Sandwich


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs boneless beef round roast
  • 1 tbsp black pepper, ground
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper, crushed
  • 6 cups hot water
  • 4 cubes beef bouillon
  • 24 slider buns
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup spicy hot giardiniera

Instructions

  1. Rub the beef with all the above spices.
  2. Sear in a hot skillet until golden brown.
  3. Add water & bouillon.
  4. Cover with foil.
  5. Roast in a 325-degree oven until fork tender.
  6. Let rest in liquid for at least one hour.
  7. Shred & serve on toasted slider buns.
  8. Top with homemade giardiniera.
