Green Chili Shootout & Market Mayhem
Enjoy a day of chili sampling, wrestling and more at the Capitol Market!
To gain access to unlimited samples of chili from both professionals and amateurs, simply purchase your tasting ticket for $10 in advance. Tickets will go up to $15 at the door. Regatta Pro Wrestling’s Market Mayhem will begin after the chili tasting and is free of charge.

PROFESSIONAL COOKS:Green Chili Shootout is an International Chili Society-sanctioned event with a total payout of $1,000 for first place and a spot in the ICS World Championships. Second place receives $500, and third place receives $250. The entry fee is $35. A 10×10 space, 6 foot table and 2 chairs are provided under outdoor pavilion, as well as sample cups and spoons. Cooks must bring their own cooking supplies. Contestants must provide two gallons of people’s choice chili, in addition to the judging chili. AMATEUR COOKS:The entry fee for amateur cooks is $35, and registration can be completed through this website. All contestants must prepare two gallons of people’s choice chili, which can be any variety – green, red, homestyle, etc. You will need to bring your own camp stove, crock pots, extension cords, and any other heating mechanism for your chili. You’ll also need ladles for serving and chairs for your team members. A 6-ft. table, sample cups and spoons will be provided. If electricity is needed, it must be requested ahead of time.
